Lago Maggiore - Day one

Isola Pescatori

Arrived last night at Milano Malpensa.

Today's plan involved a trip to the Maggiore Lake, the second biggest in Italy, after Garda. I must say it was very sweet. We went to Isola Pescatory (on the picture) by boat-taxi, had lunch on the beautiful and tiny island and then got the boat again to get to the other island called Isola Bella, which was bigger and basically home of a huge palace with amazing gardens and little alleys behind. A lovely place this lake. Its shores were once the vacational retreat of the very rich and today we can still contemplate in amazement and green with envy the massive palaces and mansions by the water. Beautiful!
